The All Aboard canal boat

A warm and welcoming space on All Aboard

Claudia BaldacchinoNews

Our All Aboard canal boat is now a warm and welcoming space, with dedicated warm space trips taking place every Monday from 10:30am to 4pm

We’re delighted to be providing a warm and welcoming space on our All Aboard canal boat every Monday. Part of the City of Edinburgh Council’s Warm and welcoming space initiative, we’ll be providing activities, food, refreshments and internet connectivity within a warm and cosy space for free each week as we continue to find ways to support people during the cost-of-living crisis.

All Aboard is our canal boat which we run in partnership with Polwarth Parish Church. The boat is moored on the Union Canal at Polwarth Pontoon at 36-38 Polwarth Terrace and aims to nurture community cohesion and wellbeing.

Our doors will now be open every Monday for some chilled time on the canal to enjoy a cup of tea, have a chat with friends, or simply take in the views. From 10:30am until 4pm we'll be making 11 stops along the canal, to pick up or drop off anyone who wants to use the space. Find the full list of stops and directions on our All Aboard page.

Big thanks to Befriending Networks for awarding us their Social and Loneliness Winter Fund which has allowed us to provide this space.
