Meet our team
The People Know How team is made up of staff, trustees and our VIPs (volunteers, interns and placement students). We couldn't be prouder of every single person on this page and the impact they have on our ability to drive social innovation.
Leadership team
The Leadership Team are responsible for leading the charity, from service design to delivery to monitoring and evaluation. Each member represents a different part of People Know How and brings a unique perspective to the team allowing us to continue driving social innovation efficiently and dynamically.
Positive Transitions team
The Positive Transitions team coordinates our Positive Transitions service, supporting children, young people and families in the transition from primary to secondary school. Through delivering youth and family work, our coordinators ensure continuity of support for school clusters across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Reconnect team
The Reconnect team coordinates our Reconnect service, supporting adults and families to improve wellbeing by increasing digital and social inclusion. They deliver support to improve digital skills at digital groups in local communities as well as on our national Connecting Scotland digital support helpline, working closely with communities and local organisations.
Spaces team
Our spaces team coordinate our spaces across Edinburgh and the Lothians, including our office spaces and our All Aboard canal boat in Polwarth.
Support team
Our support team support the charity to achieve its goals. From coordinating VIPs, to supporting communications, digital and fundraising, this team provides support to the charity internally, ensuring smooth running and efficient service delivery.
Board of Trustees
Our trustees ensure the charity delivers on its strategy, ensuring the purpose of the charity is adhered to. They also ensure good stewardship of the assets of the charity including, physical assets, our finances, and intangible ones, such as our reputation. The board ensure good practice and professionalism in all we do especially ensuring the safety and wellbeing of volunteers, interns, placement students, staff and the people who use our services.

VIPs
Our VIPs (volunteers, interns and placement students) come from all over the world and across Edinburgh and the Lothians. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. VIPs support all our projects and services, ranging from providing digital support to supporting children and young people, and much more. We can have up to 200 VIPs at any one time, some of whom are featured here!
