Summer arts programme

Dear Lothian invites young people from Edinburgh and East Lothian to explore their local area through the arts, strengthening their relationship with their hometown and increasing confidence and resilience as they prepare for high school.

Each session explores different archives and art forms including soundscapes, photography, watercolour painting and oral histories. The programme also includes a visit to Edinburgh Castle, the All Aboard canal boat and a scavenger hunt featuring the City Art Centre, St Cecilia’s Hall and George Square amongst other highlights!
