Volunteers’ Week 2020

Claudia BaldacchinoNews

This Volunteers' Week we wanted to thank our volunteers for their support during these uncertain and unusual times!

Volunteers' Week took place from 1 June to 7 June this year, in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. Throughout this time People Know How has forged ahead, adapting our services to support the community in this crisis and even starting new projects like our computer delivery project. In all of this our volunteers are indispensable. Our current volunteers have risen to the challenge and our 100+ new volunteers have jumped straight into the People Know How ethos.

What's it like to be a volunteer?

So what's it really like to be a volunteer at People Know How? Why not ask our very own volunteers?

"People Know How is a vital lifeline to those in isolation that need support particularly at this time of need during COVID-19 where even more people are in isolation. It's great to know that this service is here for everyone and it is a pleasure to volunteer for them.

We'd like to say thank you!

After featuring our very own volunteers, we spent Volunteers' Week reading and sharing updates about the value of volunteering from across the sector. Our work simply just wouldn't be possible without the support of our volunteers, interns and placement students, and during the coronavirus outbreak they have risen to every challenge. So we wanted to say thank you!

Happy Volunteers' Week!
